Last week in right-wing trolling
Here's what you may have missed from the worst people on the internet
Donald Trump’s indictment dominates the content this week, but there was plenty more going on in the never ending culture war battles online. There were so, so many Trump indictment-related tweets to choose from and some I simply couldn’t avoid including here. Without further ado, here we go.
What’s worse than this impossibly wrong tweet is that these kind of idiotic arguments will still probably help Trump win the primary.
Them:
MAGA isn’t a cult!
Also them:
Do better than the “based” candidate who says enforcing the law makes us a Banana Republic, Utah. Please.
Maybe your side should stop doing all the dumb crimes out in the open, Charlie. Have you considered if that’s the real problem?
MAGA has to make it seem like they’re fighting a righteous holy war to hide the fact that they’ve built a cult around Donald Trump. Fighting a holy war is cool! But posting cringe like this for your cult leader is really just embarrassing.
The most ridiculous part about all of this is the entire investigation could’ve been easily avoided if Trump just returned the documents when it was requested. But he didn’t want to, so now everything gets turned up to an 11.
When in doubt, play the classics. Whatabout her emails? is a line that’s never, ever going away.
Part of the reason Republicans are still defending Trump is purely out of fear. They don’t think any scandal can bring him down, and they may yet be right about that. They’re still afraid to cross him. They don’t want to deal with the consequences of betrayal.
Matt Walsh took a victory lap on his anti-trans movie, with a few assists from Twitter’s owner along the way.
Elon repeatedly went out of his way to defend Trump as well, by the way. This is only one post of many.
Tucker Carlson put out a half-hearted attempt at a show on Twitter this week. It’s not very good, but Fox News is suing him for breach of contract anyway. Best of luck to both sides!
The absolute dumbest terminally online tweet of the week has to be this one. CRACKER BARRELL HAS FALLEN!
Is everyone Tim Pool doesn’t like a pedophile? Many people are asking this question. Some people are wondering if it’s true.
Oh by the way, Bud Light still might be sponsoring Pride events, and the right is incredibly mad about it. You didn’t think they’d let this story go, did you?
Go support Flagstaff Pride if you’re out that way, folks! Until next time…
