I’m going to try out a weekly roundup of the worst in right-wing content. I’ve been toying with this idea for a while, as I generally view and collect this material each week to inform the newsletter and the podcast. Up to this point, I’ve avoided sharing this stuff because I try to avoid needlessly amplifying lies without any real tangible benefit. However, the more I’ve been talking to various people online, the more I realize how much of this messaging isn’t making its way to people on the left or the mainstream media. I think it needs to be seen because if all of this happens in a vacuum, then people are confused when you try to explain to them what’s happening in what amounts to an alternate information universe. Much of this content will be weird one offs that are quickly forgotten, but even so, it’s trying to strike a cord with familiar narratives the right has embraced such as attacking the “Fake News,” the “Deep State” and CRT. Some of it this material will make its way from obscure meme to full-blown GOP policy in a matter of days or weeks. That’s why I think it’s important to put together this list of weekly right-wing messaging so you can prepare yourself for what may be coming.

At the end of this post, I’m going to provide some material on what I’m calling the 4chan Civil War which pits Trump trolls against DeSantis trolls. Though you may have missed it, the 4chan Civil War is already well underway.

We are investigating a tip that 3 of the 5 officers in the Memphis PD beating of Tyre Nichols were members of the Vice Lords gang and under their direction. Other gang directed beatings were reportedly found on their phones. Recordings as proof of carrying out the beating.

UPDATE: We have FINALLY gotten through to Memphis PD and questioned them about the 3 police officers being part of the Vice Lords gang. Memphis PD did NOT deny it. They said they will be preparing a statement, and we've given them until 5pm ET
